Articles
The following articles have been written by me (Paul Priestley) and simply represent my thoughts on various topics relating to the teaching of art in the classroom. They are based on my experience which is considerable, but in no way represent a definitive guide to teaching art. Having taught in schools and worked in many more schools through my company Filbert: artist in schools I have seen school life from both the insiders and outsiders points of view, which has been enlightening. As well as working in schools as Picasso, Van Gogh and many other artists, I am also a practicing artist.
The articles are copyright free and maybe used by teachers in anyway they wish. Hopefully they might prove useful.
Articles will appear periodically.
